Department of Manpower and Employment to Host Job Fair on 22nd at Jaffna District Secretariat Premises ……….
A Job Fair organized by the Department of Manpower and Employment under the Ministry of Labour will be held on the 22nd of this month at the Jaffna District Secretariat premises.
The main objective of this programme is to bring together job seekers from across the Jaffna District, along with private sector institutions that provide employment opportunities and training organizations, in one location to create employment opportunities for youth.
On this occasion, 30 private sector organizations and 14 training institutions will participate, providing opportunities for job seekers. Job seekers and skilled applicants attending this Job Fair will also be registered in the Department’s online system on the same day.
The Department of Manpower and Employment has planned to categorize all those attending the Job Fair—including individuals seeking employment, those in need of career guidance, those interested in entrepreneurship and business development, and those with training needs—so that suitable future programmes can be designed for them.
The Department has also stated that awareness will be provided at this event on the latest national and international labour market trends.
