Hon. Nimal Siripala De Silva assumes duties as the new Minister of Labour

Nimal Siripala De Silva, Minister of Labor says that the Ministry of Labor should be a ministry that serves the workers and not a place of employment for the employers. The Minister said that a special inquiry will be launched soon to look into the pile of files pertaining to the workers.

The Minister said that the objective of the Ministry is to take the two sectors forward in a balanced manner to bring about economic development in the country through co-existence between workers and employers.
